About

Our Story
The Fallen Rhino That Started It All
Mike Prine was a young man struck down by cancer in 1991. He was 22 years old and River Falls High School alumni. Mike’s nickname to all of us was "Rhino." Mike was loved by many and a group of his friends played softball in his memory for a number of years. Once that group began to get too old for the softball diamond, they relinquished bats for golf clubs. Since that time, an annual Rhino’s Golf Tournament has taken place on the Friday of River Falls Days to always remember our friend and brother, Rhino.
Our Mission
Using Compassion to Transform Lives
The Rhino's Foundation is dedicated to providing direct cash donations to families in Western Wisconsin affected by cancer. We are also committed to providing financial gifts in the form of gift cards to local cancer care centers to support their patients.
